About Birchwood

Just minutes off the 101 freeway in the Central Coast of California. Birchwood is located in the small rural town of Nipomo. Nipomo is known in history as the location where the famous Migrant Mother photo was taken in 1936 by Dorothea Lange. Rumor has it that the location was directly across the street from us. We are a Nursery and Gift shop dedicated to our Nipomo and Central Coast Residents.  Upon entering Birchwood, you are immediately greeted with the breathtaking greenery and wildlife on our grounds. You will feel the positivity and charm of our age-old pepper trees. Birchwood is even more beautiful at night with its lighted trees and pathways. There are many structures on the property full of charm. A pergola for tea, the greenhouse for your intimate birthday party, an adorable gift shop and in the future we plan to re open our small Beer Garden area.
